Submissions

Viral Cat is currently accepting submissions for the October 2010 Issue.

 

  Poetry: Submit three to five poems. We prefer that you paste your poems into the body of the email. If special formatting is important to your poetry, please send us an attached document, pdf or jpeg. Simultaneous submissions are welcome.

 

  Flash Fiction: Submit up to three pieces. Each piece should be under 1000 words. Please send us your flash fiction as an attached document, .doc or .rtf. 

 

   Artwork / Photography: Submit up to five pieces, jpeg format. You may provide us with a link to your site, but please specify which pieces you are submitting.



    Videos / Music:  Submit up to three works. We're looking for short films, experimental films, comedies, movie trailers, music videos, music links, or music files.

 

    Screenplays / Plays / Radio Plays: Submit up to ten pages of a feature length screenplay. Shorter works are also welcome. It is your responsibility to register your feature length screenplay with either the Writer's Guild of America or the Copyright Registrar's Office. If someone reads your excerpt and is interested in seeing more, we'll gladly redirect the interested party to your email.

 

 

Please include a short bio with your submission.

If accepted, you'll hear back from us within three months.

In the event you wish to revoke the non-exclusive multi-use license, please contact Viral Cat and your request will granted only if you can demonstrate that you need to revoke in order to comply with another publication's copyright requirements.

In the event you have revoked the license herein described and are submitting your work for further publication, you agree to mention your past publications by Viral Cat, if any.

As valuable consideration for the transfer of rights herein, Viral Cat agrees to read each submission carefully in serious contemplation of publication. This is a time consuming task that constitutes sufficient consideration to make the described agreement(s) LEGALLY BINDING.

Acceptance of your offer is effective upon your submission.

Upon submission Viral Cat in no way guarantees publication, and reserves the right to decline publication without notice. Viral Cat reserves the right to make minor edits. All work published on Viral Cat's website or its other printed publications is the sole copyrighted property of the individual authors and Viral Cat. Any unauthorized storage, display, publication, reproduction, or any other use, for any purpose, is prohibited by Federal law.
